Review

We have started reviewing for the Aspire test that is coming at the end of this month. One way we are reviewing in math is through a fun game called Scoot. Students "scoot" around the room answering questions, trying to be the top scorer. The class has had fun reviewing this way!

Valentines Day and Rocks

Students have had a great time learning many new things in class. Miss Allen did fun activities with Valentines Day math stations. We have also had a blast learning about rocks and minerals.

Snowmen and Miss Allen

The class had a fun time composing poems and writing them on their bags! We made fun winter snowmen from the poems!








Also, we have a student teacher named Miss Allen that will be working in our class until spring break!

Turkey Traps

Using at least three simple machines, students created their very own "turkey traps".

Multiplication and Bones

I am a little behind on updating the blog, but here are some things we have done in the past couple of weeks! The first set of pictures is from multiplication games in class. The second set is from the students dissecting owl pellets to find bones of a small rodent.

Pumpkins all around!

 

We have had a very fun week with pumpkins! Students brought in their dress-a-pumpkin for their book characters! On Halloween, we also counted pumpkin seeds, weighed their goo, found their height, and measured their circumference.
