We have done a lot of fun science activities recently. In one activity students measured the mass, density, and volume of gummy bears. Then we soaked them overnight in water to see the changes!
Next, we studied acids and bases. We used litmus paper to test whether certain substances were acids or bases.
We have had a fun and busy time lately! Check out the following pictures and descriptions!
Two of our students had the honor of having lunch with our author, Carmen Agra Deedy, from Author's Day. They came back and answered questions from the class about their lunch time.
We also used geo boards to create shapes related to area and perimeter.
Also, look at them creating their Valentines Day bags!
We have had a lot of fun this week learning about customary units in measurement. The class did a measurement scavenger hunt around the room!
In science, the students have learned a fun song that helped them with learning about atoms called "Atoms Family". Duh nuh nuh nuh. Snap snap! Here they are singing!
Our class has started a new unit in math on probability. One fun activity to bring it all together was done through a paper, rock, and scissors probability activity.
