Owl Pellets
Our class loved getting to learn about bones in the human body. They also examined small rodent bones from an owl pellet. Students had a blast!

November
This week students have taken a short break from our usual weekly reading series and have spent some time learning about the Mayflower and what life was like for the Pilgrims on the ship. They read interviews, researched the ship's parts, and learned about the journey. They also created "graffiti" walls showing what they already knew about Pilgrims, Thanksgiving, and the Mayflower.
In math, students created multiplication turkeys. They used clues on multiples to figure out what their turkeys should look like based on certain criteria.
In writing, students wrote 5 paragraph essays (yes, 5!) on three things that make them thankful.

Pumpkins on the Loose!
Last week, students loved sharing their Character Pumpkins and participating in a math pumpkin activity. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to come help with our activity!
